Theresa Cocci’s appreciation for telling stories began early in her teaching career. By capturing the interest of her students through storytelling and songs, she embraced her desire to encourage an appreciation and love for literacy. 

Her first book, Henry the Hungry Hound, relives the mischievous antics of her beloved dog, Henry, and a kind old woman who devises a clever plan to end his bad behavior. Theresa continues to enjoy writing stories that encompass valuable life lessons. Her recently released book, “Harry’s Horrible Hair", is a Mom's Choice Gold Award winning book and was featured on Storytime with Fergie and Friends  and read by the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson.

Theresa has earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kutztown University and Orff Schulwerk Music Certification from the University of Arts in Philadelphia. In addition to writing and attending writing workshops and conferences, she teaches early childhood music and piano independently. 

She lives with her family and Molly, her lovable pup in Reading, PA.

Nothing is more important to healthy development than to have a child's life filled with wonderful and positive experiences. What better way to provide this positive delight and stimulation than through the gift of music and literacy!

My goal as an educator is to provide quality instruction while adapting to the needs of each student.  Discovering and learning , using music as a tool, provides a growth in literacy through creativity and exploration.
